The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 10 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 23.84 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for December 2:
$100 costs UAH 2,384.1563 (on December 1, it was UAH 2,394.8086);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,527.2057 (on December 1, it was UAH 2,533.4680);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.5983 (on December 1, it was UAH 3.5884).
On Tuesday, December 1, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 23.94/24.04 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 25.4090/25.5160, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3600/0.3620.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 23.8416 to the dollar, with 572 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $329.94 million.
