The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 63 times in last day, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) wrote on Facebook.
"From 18:00 yesterday evening till midnight militants had used small arms to open aimed fire on Ukrainian positions in Krasnohorivka. They also fired rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns on positions near the village of Hranitne. Ukrainian soldiers in the area of Luhanske, which is 15 kilometers from Horlivka, were shelled by militants from automatic mounted grenade launchers and sniper weapons," according to a statement.
In addition, the militants opened unaimed provocative fire with small arms, rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions in the direction of Pisky, Opytne, near Avdiyivka, Maiorsk, Zaitseve, and Luhanske.
In the Luhansk direction, militants attacked Ukrainian positions near the town of Schastia two times using rocket-propelled grenades.
It is noted that the ATO forces did not open return fire, observing the Minsk agreements.
