World War II: the princes of the wardrobe and secret fantasies (PHOTO)

In 1939, in New York there was an event that defined in many ways the lives of several generations of the fair sex. The world-renowned chemical company DuPont presented a new synthetic material — nylon. Within a year, both in sales of nylon stockings appeared, and the old favorites — technically imperfect silk stockings — are gone under the onslaught of a powerful advertising campaign manufacturer sensational news. The slogan read: "Wear socks made of silk instead of nylon, it's like a horse prefer the car." How could a woman stand? Since then, 75 years have passed, and stockings, and now occupy an important place in the ladies' clothes and fantasies of men.

Invented by Wallace Carothers (1896-1937 years) nylon made a breakthrough in the textile industry. As a result, the company DuPont, whose staff was a scholar, enriched by billions of dollars. Unlike silk, nylon stockings stretched well, do not lose their shape, do not slip and do not wince, it tolerates frost and moisture.
