Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall hold SECOND wedding ceremony at lavish cathedral

RUPERT MURDOCH and Jerry Hall are holding their second wedding ceremony in as many days today, as they reaffirm their vows at St Bride's Church in London.

The couple formally exchanged vows in a civil ceremony yesterday but will today undergo a lavish blessing in front of a range of famous faces in the Fleet Street cathedral.

The double-whammy is said to be a result of Murdoch's strict timetable and the rules regarding formal marriage paperwork for foreign couples.

“They wanted to be married sooner than we could legally marry them,” a spokesperson said, according to People.

“There would be no other problem with marrying them in the church – it was just literally time."

A church spokesperson added: “You have to apply for special licences if you are an American and they just didn’t have time to fulfil all the legalities required by the Church of England. It was just very complicated logistically.”

The blessing is scheduled for midday today in front of all ten of their collective children, as well as Rebekah Brooks and Tracey Emin.

Boris Johnson is also expected to attend, as well as former BBC executive Alan Yentob, politician Michael Gove and actor Sir Michael Caine.

Tony Blair, once good friends with Murdoch, will not be in attendance after following out with the media mogul two years ago over his friendship with ex-wife Wendi Deng.

David Cameron and George Osborne are also expected to give the ceremony a miss.

Murdoch, 84, posted online yesterday: "No more tweets for ten days or ever! Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in world."
