Woman WHIPPED by Sharia police until she PASSES OUT for having sex at Brit tourist hotspot

The young woman is shown sobbing as she is thrashed with a whip in public for having sex outside marriage.

She was dragged onto the public stage and forced down to her knees by two guards for the public caning.

The woman could be seen crying out in agony as she is whipped on her back by a masked man.

She clenches her fists and appears to bite her veil while suffering the punishment.

It proved so harsh that the woman collapsed and had to be carried off on a stretcher for treatment.

She had allegedly broken the strict Sharia law in Banda Aceh province in Indonesia — a popular sunny getaway for many Britons.

During the ceremony at the beginning of March, eighteen locals were whipped for violating the sharia law, including for gambling, drinking alcohol and for dating between a man and a woman.

Sharia guards often dole out cruel punishment for violating Islamic law.

Sharia law is the legal system of Islam which is derived from both the Koran and the rulings of the religion's scholars.

Islamic laws have been strengthened since the Aceh province struck a peace deal with the central government in 2005.

Last month, the local government banned Valentine's Day celebrations, including giving cards or chocolates, deeming it an 'unlawful act' under Sharia.

Earlier this year, Banda Aceh also banned women from entertainment venues after 11pm unless they are accompanied by a husband or male family member.

In 2015, a district in Aceh enacted a bylaw requiring schools to teach boys and girls separately, and another banned women from straddling motorcycles when riding with a driver.
