Queen Elizabeth II couldn't contain her excitement as she attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show, with the monarch flashing a smile and laughing with glee as her horse won big during the event.
After her beloved horse, Barber's Shop, won the the Tattersalls & RoR Thoroughbred Ridden Championship at Windsor Castle Thursday, according to the BBC, the queen grinned as she was given the prize for the competition—a gift card for convenience store Tesco—which she proudly clutched in her hand. While photos of the queen excitedly palming the gift card sent social media into a tizzy, it was clear she was thrilled to receive it (who knows, maybe she'll pop into a store one day).
Since she didn't attend the event in an official capacity, Queen Elizabeth was more casual than usual as she enjoyed the day, wearing a bubble vest over a blue cardigan sweater, which she paired with a plaid skirt and a floral head scarf.
The horse show preview was originally scheduled to take place Wednesday, but was canceled for the first time in its 66-year history due to flooding. The queen was not going to let that cancellation stop her from having a good time, which was fitting, since the four-day show includes an event to celebrate her 90th birthday.
