IN THE latest instalment of Game of Thrones Littlefinger came to the rescue of Sansa Stark and Jon Snow when he arrived at Winterfell with the Knights of the Vale.

Of course, he will want to be paid back for his help in their hour of need and one fan has worked out how he plans to win Game of Thrones.

If Sansa is pregnant with sadistic husband Ramsay Bolton's child then she would have a problem.

She wouldn't want people to know that she is carrying his baby, who could be a threat to the Stark's hold over Winterfell

But she could pretend the baby is someone else's.

The theory goes that Littlefinger will ask Sansa to marry him and pretend her unborn child is his.

In the preview clip for next week's finale, when asked what he wants from Sansa Lord Baelish replies "I thought you knew what I wanted", which suggests he may have had this planned for a long time.

While many might argue Jon Snow will not approve of his sister marrying the man who betrayed her family, the theory adds that Littlefinger will reveal he's not actually a Stark.

Some fans of the hit HBO series believe Jon will find out he is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark in the next episode, which links to the R+L=J theory.

Reddit user Kateshakes explained: "I believe that Baelish will become The King of the North, and after Jon Snow is (I'm pretty sure) revealed to be the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna, will use this hold he has over the Starks, for both their lives and raising baby Bolton, to ultimately become the Ruler of the Seven Kingdoms."

Game of Thrones concludes on Monday on Sky Atlantic at 9pm.
