Can Michael Schumacher and his family no longer sustain the F1 racer's expensive treatment?

The current condition and health status of Schumacher is unknown as there has been a news blackout regarding Schumacher ever since he suffered a tragic head wound from a skiing accident in 2013. There have been numerous reports of Schumacher's properties and automobiles being sold off.

Does this mean that the round-the-clock treatment that Schumacher is receiving in their Lake Geneva mansion has taken a toll on the F1 legend's and his family's finances?

Another of Schumacher's Property for Sale

Earlier this week, Schumi's old Mercedes wagon has been put up for sale in Germany. The vehicle is being sold for approximately $130,000. According to Express, Schumacher's weekly 24/7 care costs around $150,000, but according to Ferrari's Luca Di Montezemolo, the F1 legend has found the treatment to be favorable as he is reportedly responding to it.

Champions for Charity Match Tribute to Schumacher

The star-studded "Champions for Charity" match this year was a tribute to Schumacher. The football match was held in FSV Mainz's Coface Arena in Germany.

F1 racers including Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso were in attendance, according to Mirror. German footballers Sebastian Kehl, Stefan Reinarts, Simon Rolfes and Lukas Podolski as well as Dallas Mavericks basketball star Dirk Nowitzki were also there alongside Mick Schumacher, the F1 racer's 17-year-old son.

Apart from being a tribute match for Schumacher, the "Champions for Charity" football game was also for other charities including Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and BasKIDball. According to Daily Mail, the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation is a charity to help poor children develop wholistically through sports and sportsmanship. BasKIDball, on the other hand, is a charity program for children who want to play sports and learn together with others.

Great day for a great person. Doing what I love with @swish41 and Schumacher Foundation

Sabine Kehm, Schumacher's manager said that the match is a thank-you gesture to the F1 racer's fans who have been continuously praying and sending well-wishes since his accident two years ago.

ESPN also noted that Schumacher spearheaded most charity football matches together with the Nazionale Piloti, other teams and Nowitzki.
