Injured plane passengers were carried away on stretchers after an aircraft skidded off a runway in the early hours of this morning.
A total of 15 people were injured in the dramatic incident at Goa airport in western India, but none of the injuries sustained are life-threatening.

Pictures from the scene show people lying on the runway after the flight to Mumbai came to a sudden stop.
The airport is run by the Indian Navy, and spokesman D.K Sharma said: ‘There are minor injuries, bruises or fractures to 15 passengers. Everyone else was taken out safely.’
At this stage it is unclear what caused the Jet Airways plane, which was carrying 161 passengers and crew, to veer off the runway.

Tourists flock to Goa at this time of year for its beaches, and it is thought that many passengers on board were heading home to Mumbai.
