A US soldier and an Afghan soldier have been killed in a gunfight involving Nato and Afghan forces in the city of Jalalabad, eastern Afghanistan. This is reported by Coruption.Info.
 
The shooting erupted as a US diplomat left a meeting with a local governor.
 
US soldiers opened fire after an Afghan soldier fired upon them, a police official told the Associated Press.
 
If his account is confirmed, this would be the second case of an Afghan soldier firing on foreign forces since Nato wound down its combat mission in 2014.
 
An Afghan soldier killed three US contractors in late January.
 
The US troops involved in the latest incident are part of Nato's Resolute Support mission, which replaced combat operations last December.
 
Similar attacks happened frequently in the final years of Nato's 13-year combat mission in Afghanistan.
