Hit and run leaves boy, 10, with life-changing injuries

A 10-year-old boy has suffered possible life-changing injuries after a hit and run this morning.

Emergency services flocked to east London after the boy was struck by a car near Bow Road Underground station just before 8.15am.

His injuries are said to be serious but not life-threatening.

A spokesman for the Met Police said the car involved failed to stop and was found abandoned nearby.

London’s Air Ambulance was called to the scene in Bow Road, Tower Hamlets, and the boy was taken to hospital.
