Lewis Hamilton celebrated his 32nd birthday in style as the F1 driver posed in what he called 'paradise'.
The British driver attached a lengthy caption to his striking image, offering thanks to his supporters and speaking about the subjective nature of paradise.
Hamilton wrote: 'Paradise is a completely subjective word. We each have our own definition.
'For me, I have a few. There's white sand beaches and turquoise waters, then there's this.
'Blessed to spend my 32nd birthday in paradise. Thank you all for your kind words and wishes. #TeamLH.'
The precise location of Hamilton's paradise is unknown as he shared the picture with his 3.7 million followers without specific details.
Hamilton is recharging his batteries following a dramatic climax to last season, with Nico Rosberg pipping him to the championship.
The Mercedes driver is still waiting to find out who will be his teammate next season following Rosberg's shock retirement from the sport.
A number of drivers have been linked with the drive including Fernando Alonso, Valtteri Bottas and Pascal Wehrlein.
Bottas has emerged as the favourite to step into Rosberg's shoes and currently plies his trade at Williams.
Felipe Massa has been touted as a potential replacement though he would have to come out of retirement after calling it a day last season.
Hamilton will no doubt be following the developments with interest as the former champion gears up to attempt his fourth World Championship win.
