Police in New York have scuffled with anti-Donald Trump protesters demonstrating against the President-elect.
Opponents, angered by Mr Trump's comments during the election campaign about women, illegal immigrants and Muslims — as well as his promise to repeal Obamacare and build a wall on the Mexican border — joined a protest rally on Thursday evening.
The rally included a lineup of politicians, activists and celebrities.
US Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said police will separate groups to prevent trouble at Friday's inauguration ceremony.
He told MSNBC: "The concern is some of these groups are pro-Trump, some of them are con-Trump, and they may not play well together in the same space."
