Bodies washed ashore in Haiti amid shipwreck fears

At least 17 people are believed to have drowned in a shipwreck off the northern coast of Haiti. This is reported by Coruption.Info.
The bodies of 11 men and six women washed ashore in the coastal town of Le Borgne, about 100 miles (160km) north of Port-au-Prince, the AP reports.
One official told AFP news agency the dead were migrants who were trying to reach the neighbouring Turks and Caicos Islands, but this is unconfirmed.
No sign of a ship has been found and it is unclear if there were any survivors.
