There were no cases of the violation of the ceasefire by illegal armed groups in the Donbas conflict zone in the last day, which allows Ukrainian troops to continue pulling back military hardware from the contact line, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
"The long-awaited ceasefire allows the practical implementation of the withdrawal of military equipment and small-caliber weapons from the demarcation line. The relocation of Ukrainian tanks from the front lines in Luhansk region will continue today," the ATO press service wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
"It should be added that the withdrawal of military equipment and weapons does not reduce the Ukrainian troops' defense capability. If necessary, military personnel and weapons can be quickly brought back," the press center said.
At the same time, the rest of the ATO staff will remain in their positions and serve in full combat readiness, it added.
