This photo had a woman BANNED from Instagram — can you spot why?

INSTAGRAM is certainly no stranger to suggestive and risqué imagery.

The popular social sharing platform is an international hub for bikini babes and scantily clad models alike.

Millions of bare-skinned stunners, like up-and-coming Aussie supermodel Elyse Knowles, have even shot to fame by posting steamy Instagram snaps.

These bare-skinned displays don’t seem to raise red flags in the censorship department.

Yet, a perfectly innocent picture of a homemade Easter Simnel cake had one mother’s Instagram account deactivated.

Can you spot why?

Reportedly, because of its resemblance to a woman’s breast.

Fiona Moseley took to Twitter to tell her social network about the event. She posted the picture with a caption that reads: ‘My mum’s @instragram account was deactivated for posting this Eater Simnel cake. IT’S NOT A BOOB. #BoobGate’

Fiona continued to tweet using the hashtags ‘#BoobGate’ and ‘#FreeTheSimnel’ to correct what she called ‘Automated censorship gone wrong’.

Her story was shared across the internet and her mother’s Instagram account as reactivated.

Fiona’s mother posted an image that reads: ‘I’m back! #FreeTheSimner’ to celebrate.

Instagram relies on its users to flag content they deem unacceptable and the staff then investigate whether it should be taken down.

A spokesperson for Instagram told Mirror Online: "We made a mistake here and restored the account as soon as we learned about it. Our apologies go out to Sue Moseley for the trouble we caused her.“
