A woman was trapped under a double-decker bus earlier today after it mounted the pavement while trying to avoid a car crash.

Fourteen others, including the driver, were also injured in the crash in Ladbroke Grove, near Canal Way, just before noon on Thursday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene where they found the woman trapped under the number 52 bus for a short while.

Ladbroke Grove, London, November 17th 2016. A double decker bus crashes into Kensal House on Ladbroke Grove prompting a major response from the emergency services including the air ambulance. According to Detective Chief Superintendent Ellie OíConnor of Met Police Kensington and Chelsea, 14 people including the driver were hurt, with none sustaining life-threatening or life changing injuries. Police officers would not speculate on the cause of the accident, but apologised for delays and commended all branches of the emergency services for their prompt and efficient response. The bus will be towed away for further investigations.
Dramatic pictures show the bus crashed on the pavement with dozens of police officers and paramedics working nearby.
The passengers were rushed to Central London Hospital where their injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Witness Karim Roundi, 25, who lives opposite the crash scene said he was on a lunch break when he witnessed the collision.
He told the Evening Standard: ‘Someone stepped out onto a pedestrian crossing and a car slammed on its brakes.

‘The car behind went into the back of it and the bus swerved out of the way to avoid colliding into them.
‘It lost control and went up onto the pavement and hit a block of flats. I didn’t realise it hit a woman at first’.
Pictures and videos shared on twitter showed emergency services at the cordoned-off area and an air ambulance leaving the scene.
