Carrie Fisher has admitted she had an ‘intense’ three-month affair with Harrison Ford while making Star Wars in 1979.
The actors played Han Solo and Leia in the original film, and became more than just co-stars on set.
Fisher dropped the bomb to People magazine saying: ‘It was so intense. It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.’

She goes into more detail in her book The Princess Diarist, based on journals she kept while filming in London.
In an extract published in People she reveals they first spent the night together after a birthday party for director George Lucas.

She writes: ‘I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face – a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow.
‘How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?
‘I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him,’ she goes on. ‘He was kind.’
Their fling sadly ended once filming wrapped, she adds.
