Five stars from Game Of Thrones are getting an eye-watering pay rise that will see them earn $1.1 million (£890,000) per episode for the next two series.
Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Lena Headey (Queen Cersei) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) will all be raking it in come series seven, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s been confirmed that series seven will have seven episodes, far fewer than usual, but this still amounts to £6,230,000 per actor for just one series. Gobs officially smacked.

This recent deal brings the cast close to the historic amount the Friends cast were paid back in 2002 and 2003, which amounted to $1 million (£805,000) each per episode, obviously a greater amount at the time than what the GOT crew are receiving now.
Recently Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki from The Big Bang Theory earned $1 million per episode for the last two series of their sitcom, too.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will have the million dollars to match his smile… two dozen times over
This must have been a touch awkward as apparently the rest of the Big Bang cast only earned 80 per cent of this.

A similar scenario undoubtedly applies with the rest of the Thrones actors, of which there are many, including Maisie Williams, Alfie Allen and Gwendoline Christie.
Seeing as a Game Of Thrones spin-off prequel drama is on the horizon, some of these five stars will surely find their astronomical payments keep on coming.

The next series of Game Of Thrones is due to hit in the middle of 2017, though it’s being billed as the first part of the final series.
