Dana White Gives Worrying Update On Ronda Rousey’s Future Ufc Plans
Dana White has admitted he is not sure if Ronda Rousey would continue in the UFC were she to lose her comeback fight against Amanda Nunes this Friday.
Rousey returns to the octagon for the first time in over a year the final UFC event of 2016 in what promises to be an epic night in Las Vegas.
The UFC is at fever pitch as they prepare for the return of their biggest star, but Rousey has no small task in stripping Nunes of her bantamweight title.
Nunes is an accomplished striker proving herself to be champion material in 2016 and White said he was not sure what would happen if the Brazilian defeated Rousey.
‘I think if Ronda wins, we will see her again,’ White told ESPN.
Rousey has sworn off media events in fight week as she focuses all her attention on returning with a win.
Before falling to Holly Holm, Rousey had the aura of invincibility and White believes the former undefeated queen is back to secure her legacy.
‘She’s very competitive, so if she loses I’ll have to see how this thing plays out, but her legacy?’ White said.
‘I mean, she held the title, she was the most dominant female ever.
‘And if you look at since she lost, every time there’s been a fight the belt has been handed over.
‘So, on Friday night she has the opportunity to come back, get her belt back and cement her legacy.’
The belt has changed hands three times since Rousey was beaten with no bantamweight champion able to produce a successful defence.
